Consistent Navigation
Give you the ability to navigate quickly to the main categories

this site.

and hold the 'Alt' key
For Mozilla Firefox - Netscape Navigator hold the 'Shift'
and 'Alt' keys
For Opera hols 'Shift' and 'Esc' for access key menu

Where images have been used we have added 'Alt' tags - text
alternatives that describe the image. With more complicated
images that require a more in depth description we have added
a Long Description link.

To change text size in most browsers it is simply a matter
of doing the following steps:
Step 1: Select the "View" menu.
Step 2: Select the "Text Size" option
from the menu.
Step 3: Click on the text size you want to view.
It is also possible to increase
the size of the text by holding down the ctrl key on the
bottom left hand row of the key board whilst using the scroll
wheel on the mouse to increase (or decrease) the size of
the text.

Browsealoud has been activated to work on this website. Browsealoud
reads web pages aloud for people who find it difficult
to read online. Reading large amounts of text on screen
can be difficult for those with literacy and visual impairments.
Brousealoud is free to use and can be downloaded for here: www.browsealoud.com (this
link opens a new window)

Although there is not a single definitive standard to use
when coding we have tried to make sure our site conforms
to W3C standards for html and css scripts.
Where ever we have used Java
Script to control important behaviours such as "Drop
Down Jump Menus" we have incorporated a link at the
top of the page that will take you to the site map where
you can access menus through the use of text links. This
feature is only visible to people that do not have Java Script
enabled in their browsers or are using script blocking browsers.

We have aimed to keep navigation consistent. There is a navigation
bar down the left side of each page.
