BHASVIC Ladies Football travelled to Southampton for a difficult Semi Final Cup fixture against Itchen. After a very strong start, the girls went 2-0 up with goals from Danni Hilling and a great header from Maddie Wren. Immediately after scoring the second, Itchen went down the other end to reduce the scoreline. BHASVIC got tired second half with no subs available due to injuries and exams. The game finished 3-2 to Itchen but the girls should be very proud. Their effort was excellent and they will learn a lot from the game.
BHASVIC Football 1st Team took all three points against local rivals City College. The game finished 2-1 under some very heavy fog.
BHASVIC Football 2nd years got another victory under their belt againt local neighbours City College. The result puts them top of the table and they will be looking to finish the season on a high next week when they face Varndean.
BHASVIC Football 1st Years continued their unbeaten streak with a massive victory against St Bedes. A 4-2 win puts them top of the table and in to the hat for the quarter finals. A great achievement by all.
One of the biggest shocks of the day was a BHASVIC Rugby team victory against Worthing 2s in the British Colleges Cup. Never before has a BHASVIC team beat Worthing in any Rugby Competition but a very solid performance gave the side a 10-5 victory.

for
under 19 International England College’s
Football Team

BHASVIC student Alain Multini
is celebrating his success in the stage 3 trials
for under 19 International England College’s Football.
He has beat over 400 players to get to this stage
and has been successful in phase 3 to progress
to phase 4. There is just one more trial for
him to pass in order to gain the honour of playing
for the International team. If he gets through
this he will be playing against the likes of
Wales, France and Scotland at the home of football – Wembley
stadium.
Alain plays mid-field and
has a family reputation to uphold as his uncle
played professional football in Brazil for
the Corinthians. Born in Brazil, Alain arrived
in the UK at the age of 9 and has pursued his
football dreams during his school years at
Shoreham Academy (formerly King’s
Manor). At BHASVIC he is currently studying in
his final year for A level Law, Psychology plus
BTEC in Nutrition and Exercise. He plans to study
Criminology at University.
Alain’s coach at BHASVIC Guy Butters says:
We wish him the best in his training over this
next month as he prepares for his final trial
for the international team at the end of the
year”.
BHASVIC Sports Co-ordinator
Joe McTiffen says: “He
has been a fantastic player for us over the past
three years and has always shown a high level
of performance. We wish him luck in the next
phase and hope to see him on our TV screens very
soon!”
