Cambridge Chemistry Challenge Success! June 2018

In June, a record number (54) of BHASVIC students took the prestigious Cambridge Chemistry Challenge examination. Designed to be significantly more demanding than a normal A level examination, it is more deductive in nature and as such, truly tests candidates’ ability to think like University chemists. It is widely recognised and sought after in applicants by Universities and Employers alike, as it demonstrates true resilience and a willingness to try something not only new, but also something challenging that is likely to require serious thought and care. Well done to all candidates irrespective of their actual score in the paper. We achieved the following certificates:

  • Gold Award: 3 candidates
  • Silver Award: 8 candidates
  • Copper Award: 31 candidates

Andrea helped prepare our students by preparing online support resources for them to use to develop the necessary thinking skills and strategies to be successful in the Cambridge Chemistry Challenge.
