VOICES - 21 to 24 February 2018

A celebration of 50 years since the decriminalisation of homosexuality through text and song, in the words of some of our most famous playwrights, singers and comedians.

BHASVIC’s annual college show ran last week! Students worked really hard for several months to prepare ‘Voices’, a show designed to commemorate and celebrate 50 years since the decriminalisation of homosexuality. An eclectic mix of old and new work from the likes of Oscar Wilde, Sara Kane, Jonathan Harvey, Tennessee Williams, and Emily Dickinson made for a really powerful performance.

The show ended with a feel good yet thought-provoking film produced by BHASVIC TV accompanied by the show's Company singing "Smile" by The Supernaturals.

A huge thanks to everyone involved with this - it was a unique and special production.

It was a true showcase of the genius behind some of the best known playwrights, song writers and performers and a real celebration of the decriminalisation of homosexuality 50 years ago. It was a joy to watch!
