Netball Second Team

Season Overview
This year really seemed to mimic the season before. Starting off with a large squad caused results to be slow to start with. As the season progressed and the squad naturally settled and therefore results became more positive and the team came 5th in the league, which is great out of a league of 13 teams.

Season Aims
Due to the potential for the first team to be strengthened this could also mean the strengthening of the second team as there may be a ‘shake- up’ in teams. There is also a possibility for a third team which means we can have smaller squads and therefore greater potential for more cohesive teams!

Netball First Team

Season Overview
This squad was a completely new squad made up of first years and two second years promoted from the second team. The squad gelled together extremely quickly and showed early promise coming 4th in the Nationals Netball Tournament. They progressed throughout the season competing in some very close games and taking two cup ties to extra time. The team won ALL but three games in the season, losing to Hurst and Henley in the Sussex Cup and British Colleges Cup and to Collyers by one goal in the Sussex League Final.

Season Aims
This could be an exciting season ahead with the potential of some outstanding first years joining the Bhasvic team to strengthen it. This will make us extremely competitive with other top teams in the area and therefore potentially progressing in the Nationals and Sussex and British Colleges cup competitions. We are also aiming to win the Sussex League!
