Men's Football Academy

The BHASVIC Men’s Football Academy is committed to providing students with a high-quality environment in which to develop their footballing ability within a professionally structured framework. The programme is designed to support students in maximising their playing potential, while simultaneously meeting their academic needs through the pursuit of post-16 qualifications in A Levels or Vocational programmes.

Players are selected from two open trial sessions held in the summer following the completion of GCSE exams. Successful trialists will be enrolled onto the academy programme and will take part in one training session a week, one strength and conditioning session a week and fixtures every Wednesday. Training sessions focus on the development of technical skills and individual proficiency, alongside the application of tactical principles for effective performance in competitive match situations.

The men’s academy represents the student body of BHASVIC by competing in AOC competitions, Sussex U19 leagues and Sussex U19 cup competitions. Players also have the opportunity to be selected for regional and national squads through Sussex FA.
