Women’s Football Academy

Entry Requirements: You will be required to participate in a trial process to be invited on to the Academy programme. Players are expected to be playing regular club and/or school football at a competitive level. There are no specific academic entry requirements for the Academy, but you will need to meet the criteria for your other chosen courses. Please make sure that you have understood the overall entry requirements to study at BHASVIC. These are available here and outline the GCSE grades you need to take up one of the Study Programmes at the college.

What will I study?

BHASVIC Women’s Football Academy offers UEFA coaching where you will train three times per week before taking part in college fixtures on Wednesday afternoons. The programme includes strength and conditioning, video analysis and tech vest data that will help players improve their performance whilst playing at the highest level. Training and games are played on a 3G pitch with full Academy kit included for all players on the programme. Alongside the Academy, you will complete a study programme at BHASVIC which will be integrated into your college timetable. The Academy team enter all regional and national competitions and offer the chance for players to trial at a regional and international level.

Is this course right for me?

Are you looking to progress and play football at the highest level? The Academy is recommended for players who are already playing for their school and/or an outside club. Trials will be held early in the new year to enable coaches to observe players in a training and game situation. The Academy programme is an additional four lessons to students' academic studies so a strong interest in wanting to develop as a player is vital. As an Academy player there will be expectations that include hard work, commitment and respect.

Where next?

If you are looking to continue your football pathway, we will give you the opportunity to speak with one of our Academy partners who offer American Scholarships. There is also plenty of support and guidance on taking your next steps to university or full-time work where you can continue your football journey by joining an outside senior women’s club or university team.
