130 Students Attend the Uni of Sussex Climate Conference
Last month, 130 students from across the college had the inspiring experience of attending The University of Sussex Climate Conference. During a jam-packed day at the Falmer campus, students engaged with the themes of Environmental Sustainability, Digital and Data Futures and Human Flourishing and took part in workshops that helped them to consider climate injustice and alternative futures. Caroline Lucas, writer, campaigner and former leader of the Green Party, addressed the psychological challenge of facing the climate crisis whilst remaining positive. She encouraged students to find a community and act together as 'hope is active'. Students left with new perspectives and renewed energy for action, with many signing up to become BHASVIC Sustainability Reps.
