BHASVIC Athletes Smash It at County Championships

BHASVIC athletes were on top form at the Sussex Schools Athletics Track & Field Championships at the K2 in Crawley – bringing home an incredible set of wins across the board.

Every student listed below took first place in their event, showing real talent, dedication, and competitive spirit.

Special shoutout to Alice Howie and Ava James, who didn’t just win – they broke championship records with standout performances in the hammer throw and 1500m steeplechase.

• Alice Howie – Hammer Throw (Championship Best Performance – 54.89m)
• Olina Chatfield – Javelin
• Harriett Yelling – Long Jump
• Jake Pursey – 1500m
• Ava James – 1500m Steeplechase (Championship Best Performance – 4:45.26)
• Freddie Matthews – 2000m Steeplechase
