Storyworks Society Announces BHASVIC Community History Festival Event

The StoryWorks Society are happy to announce the BHASVIC Community History Festival on Saturday, 28th March 2026!

On Tuesday 27th January, the BHASVIC StoryWorks Society were joined by Mark Gillingham and Christopher Bennett from the Past and Present Society. Mark and Christopher shared stories of their time at Brighton Grammar School and kindly allowed the student society to use artefacts and materials from their archives, including some original pieces from as far back as the 1870s! These items will be on display during the upcoming community history festival held at BHASVIC and organised by the student-led society.

More details on the event will be added to the Community History Festival's website as they become available. At least five guest speakers will be present, including local historian and former pupil, Geoffrey Mead, who will be talking about Brighton's educational history. All confirmed guest speakers and times can be viewed on the 'Talks' page of the event's website.
