BHASVIC Composers & Choir Win Competition!

Last Friday, the BHASVIC choir took part in Re-GENERATION, an environment-themed singing event organised by Brighton Youth Festival Chorus at the Attenborough Centre, University of Sussex.

After drama and workshops in the morning, our choir, alongside choirs from Brighton Girls, Kings, Dorothy Stringer and Cardinal Newman, performed environment-themed songs composed by students. And our choir's song, Nature's Lament, written by A2 BTEC students Oli Easton, Harry Langley, Macey Roberts and Maria Sieniawska, won the competition.

The song will now be arranged and orchestrated by professional composers/arrangers/producers Morgan Pochin Music Productions, and our choir will be invited to perform it at a concert on 18 July, accompanied by the Brighton Philharmonic Orchestra and Brighton Youth Festival Choir.

Congratulations to all those involved!
