BHASVIC has been short-listed for ‘Sixth Form College of the Year’ in the TES Further Education Awards. These nationally acclaimed awards – the ‘Oscars’ for the education sector – recognise the most outstanding individuals and institutions in the country. It is the first time that BHASVIC has been nominated and is recognition of our sustained achievement year on year that allows all students to flourish in a caring community.

Principal, William Baldwin said ‘I’m delighted that BHASVIC has been recognised in this shortlist of outstanding providers nationally. The nomination credits the progress that students make whilst here and the difference that this makes in terms of their social mobility and future. This nomination celebrates the collective work of all our staff, students and governors – it takes a village to raise an individual… but it also takes a village to run a great college! The work of a lot of people is recognised with this award nomination and we should all be feeling rightly proud of this accolade.’

TES FE editor Stephen Exley said: “Excellent practice exists right across the further education sector, and those shortlisted for the TES FE Awards are the cream of the crop. Our judges were extremely impressed with the calibre of entries. To be shortlisted is an extraordinary achievement."

The winners will be revealed at the awards evening in London on Friday 20th March 2020.
