BHAVTAs 2026

The 7th of May marked the end‑of‑year A Level Film & Media Studies and BTEC Creative Digital Media Awards Show, celebrating the full range of creative work produced by students this year. The BHAVTAs, as they are more commonly referred to, brought together a varied programme of screenings and showreels that reflect skill development and creative ambition across the courses, highlighting the craft, experimentation and imagination of our students.
For A Level Film Studies, the spotlight was shone on original short films and screenplays, with nominated work recognising storytelling, cinematography and creative decision‑making. Media Studies contributions highlight cross‑media productions, showcasing how students develop ideas across platforms and formats. Creative Digital Media Production features finished films and group projects, alongside a special stop‑motion animation showreel that captures experimentation, patience and technical creativity.
The evening culminated with the Students of the Year Awards, presented by Deputy Principal James Moncrieff, recognising exceptional commitment, creativity and growth across the courses. A fantastic celebration of emerging voices in film and digital media.
