Chemistry Olympiad 2025
Earlier this year, nearly 60 Chemistry students from both Year 12 and Year 13 took part in Round One of the UK Chemistry Olympiad - a demanding national competition that encourages students to apply their knowledge in new and unfamiliar contexts. The paper, known for its complexity, includes A Level content presented in a style more typical of university-level assessments.
Taking part in the Olympiad is a valuable experience, helping students develop advanced problem-solving skills, resilience, and a deeper understanding of the subject. All qualities that are highly regarded by universities and employers.
We’re proud of every student who chose to take on this challenge. Whether they were aiming for a certificate or simply wanted to stretch their thinking, their commitment and curiosity are commendable.
Certificate Awards:
- Gold: 5 students
- Silver: 17 students
- Bronze: 24 students

Congratulations to all participants for their hard work and enthusiasm. Your efforts reflect the spirit of learning and exploration that defines our Chemistry community.
