Chemistry Society & ESOL Collaboration 2026
Once again this year, for the second year running, we were delighted to welcome ESOL (English as a Second or Other Language) students into our A level Chemistry Society ("ChemSoc"), an extracurricular club which explores further ideas linked to the taught A level chemistry programme. After an initial safety training session, the ESOL students demonstrated how they were able to carry out advanced chemistry techniques such as thin layer chromatography, reflux, distillation and electrolysis. As a recognition of their efforts and how well they took instructions on board and worked as a team, we were able to present them with certificates of participation.
