Dance Students Join Alumnus Liam Francis on Stage at Brighton Dome

As you know Liam Francis was a student at BHASVIC, and in 2007 he performed a solo for us at the Corn Exchange at an end-of-year show. He has now returned almost 20 years later (he hadn’t performed there since) to perform his own solo again, but this time commissioned by The Dome. Here’s the blurb on Liam:

The Dome and Liam thought it would be a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with BHASVIC to celebrate his journey to where he is now by letting the students perform as his curtain raiser!

The piece he created with students was a re-work of a piece he created for Hofesh Schecter II titled I.M.I.T.I.L (It’s more impressive than it looks). Inspired by the beauty of human connection, it explores the notion of empathy and community. They test their abilities to listen to one another whilst exploring their own journey.
