National Science Olympiads Result in Top 7 Place for BHASVIC Student
Physics Olympiad
Physics student, Harry Jain, received a Gold award at the Royal Society in London for the Senior Physics Challenge, a national competition for Year 12 students and part of the British Physics Olympiad. Harry gained one of the highest scores in the country (top 7) with around 4000 entrants.
Chemistry Olympiad
Well done to our intrepid Chemistry Olympiad students! We had a record number - 88 to be exact!- go for this gruelling university-style paper from the Royal Society of Chemistry. A true test of resilience and problem-solving skills, what is even more remarkable is that most of those opting to take it were first year chemists when it's designed as a second year paper. Our chemists scored these results:
Gold Certificate: 2 candidates
Silver Certificate: 17 candidates
Bronze Certificate: 42 candidates
