Netball Team Update - U19 Nationals
We went having won the first and second rounds of the competition and were one of the 18 schools at the finals.
The standard was always going to be exceptionally high, with some of the teams having NPL and England U19 players.
I am pleased to say that the BHASVIC Squad absolutely competed at this level. Not only were we the smartest looking squad (see photos), but they were fantastic and delivered some great performances on court.
We won games, we lost games, but only by a couple of goals and we drew. The teams that finished first and second, we did not get to play, but the team that finished 3rd we only lost by 2 and the team that finished 4th we drew with.
That just shows what a talented group of athletes they are.
We came away officially finishing 7th in the country, which is a massive achievement.
We also came away winning the 'ENDEAVOUR AWARD' for exceptional effort, dedication and perseverance.
I think this was awarded to us, as in some games we went down by a few goals in the first half and then brought it back to draw or within 1 or 2 goals. The mindset of the girls was excellent.
Congratulations to the team for representing the college at such a big event and achieving being part of the 7th best Netball squad in the country!
