New Refurbishments Open Opportunities for Language Students at BHASVIC
Principal William Baldwin recently visited the newly refurbished Languages Centre at BHASVIC, utilising some of the technologies that aid curriculum learning for French, German and Spanish A Levels.

This inauguration marks an exciting new chapter for languages and culture at BHASVIC. Redesigned with a contemporary learning environment at its heart, the new Language Centre combines innovative technology with flexible spaces that inspire collaboration, curiosity and independent learning. Students now have access to their own BHASVIC AI agent, enabling them to develop both receptive and productive language skills through personalised practice beyond the classroom. They can also use BodySwap, an AI-powered platform that enhances speaking confidence and provides valuable preparation for A Level oral examinations as well as interviews and professional communication in the languages they study.
The Centre is available to students outside lesson time, encouraging independent learning and supporting them in taking ownership of their linguistic and cultural development. This transformation has been the result of sustained vision, planning and collaboration since 2023, with significant thought and effort invested in creating a space that reflects contemporary approaches to language learning. At its core is a commitment to promoting global awareness, intercultural understanding and global citizenship, with dedicated staff guiding each student on their own individual journey to become confident, internationally minded young people.
