The BHASVIC English Awards 2026!

The English department celebrated the most outstanding work generated by their second-year students on Thursday 18^th June with family and friends at the annual 'Beards' ceremony (BHASVIC English Awards). Students in English Literature, Language and Language and Literature who had achieved the highest coursework grades read from their work, and there were also awards for the best GCSE performance and for Journalism, Creative Writing and contributions to B-Mag, as part of the Portfolio and Enrichment provision. 

 

It was a wonderful evening, giving staff an opportunity to talk to students and their friends and families. There was a special 'Above and Beyond' award for Alice Perrett to acknowledge all the help and support she has given to other students over the last two years. Students can be justly proud of their achievements.
