VR French Christmas Market Experience

In the run-up to Christmas, our French A level students had the opportunity to be transported to France in an immersive 360⁰ virtual reality journey to experience a real Christmas Market in Arras. 

External company www.allabroadbus.org came to College and, with a live stream of the market in the background, students dove headfirst into France equipped with a VR headset!  Once immersed, they were able to explore the market, see the sights and listen to the dialogue in French. Once the virtual tour had concluded, students made their way to their very own mock-up of a French Xmas market to practice their own French conversational skills through role-play and to taste and experience delicious French classics, such as honeys and jams, cheese and waffles!
