Food Bank Talk

The Christian Union at BHASVIC were privileged to have Rachel Fellingham join us from Clarendon Food Bank, who provide meals and friendship to the local community. She helped us with our impactful collection at BHASVIC earlier last term. Her work is led by her faith – the Bible talks countless times about generosity to the poor, like in Proverbs: “Those who oppress the poor insult their maker, but those who are kind to the needy honor him.”

She gave a brilliant talk with practical tips on how to read the Bible. The parts that stood out were, firstly, that you should open it! It’s not going to be any use just sitting on a shelf. And secondly, the Bible is not like any other book you have ever read: the Word is alive! And as you read it, the author is sitting right with you.
