Students return from the Lake District completing their Gold DofE Expedition

More than 60 students have just returned from an almighty challenge in the Lake District, completing their Gold DofE Expedition. They walked through rain and mud, up and down mountains, and ended the day camping in wild spots beyond civilization. Despite the challenges of walking nearly 100km in 4 days, they showed enormous determination and competed the expedition singing and laughing. We are so proud of their achievements and look forward to the final parts of the Award being completed so that they can receive their Award at Buckingham Palace in the Autumn. This is an amazing achievement and a huge personal journey for those brave enough to undertake it, with every student returning 2 inches taller, prouder, stronger and ready for adult life. Congratulations to these Golden students.
