Dr Emma Smith

Consultant Clinical Psychologist

I went to BHASVIC 2000-2002 after attending Blatchington Mill School. I got A’s in Psychology, Law, English Literature A levels and also Media Studies & Critical Thinking AS levels. I never really considered Oxbridge, though looking back that was probably because no one in my family had been to university and I wasn’t sure it was for me. I remember asking Neil for advice on good universities to apply to and proceeded to put them on my application form without much further thought. Fortunately, this worked out well, I went to Warwick to study psychology and had a fantastic time, I later completed an MSc and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Salomons. I worked in London for a number of years and am now back in Brighton working as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist in Sussex Partnership Foundation Trust.
