Writer

I attended Blatchington Mill before moving to BHASVIC for sixth form in 2004, where I took A-levels in Philosophy, Government and Politics, Classical Civilisations, and French, as well as a Sociology AS level. I went on to read Archaeology and Anthropology at Jesus College, Cambridge (specialising in Social Anthropology), which I loved. After graduating I worked for the Green Party as an assistant press officer. I then worked in a few different PR / comms roles, before ending up as a senior press officer in the civil service. After having my daughter in 2015 I quit my job so I could spend more time with her and trained as a doula (non-medical birth support) and antenatal teacher. In 2018 I started my own business running online courses for parents all over the world on parenting and home education, and I have worked with thousands of families alongside home educating my daughter (though I'd be delighted if she ended up at BHASVIC one day!) and writing. My first book on parenting and education was published in 2020 and I'm currently working on my second book. I live in a sunny house full of books in London with my husband, daughter, and big ginger cat.
